Šibenik has signed Sandesh Jhingan, an Indian international defender, who will play in the Prva HNL. This 28-year-old player has become the first Indian footballer to compete in Croatia's top league after moving from ATK Mohun Bagan. Jhingan has already arrived in Croatia and attended Šibenik's home victory against Hrvatski Dragovoljac. Francisco Cardona, the CEO of Šibenik, expressed optimism about his arrival, highlighting his quality and leadership. "We expect good things from him," Cardona said. Jhingan expressed excitement about the opportunity to play for Šibenik, stating that this is the perfect platform to test his abilities. "I want to give 100 percent in every training session and match," he added. Šibenik returned to the Prva HNL last season and finished sixth, just two positions below qualification for European competitions. Coach Mario Rosas also praised Jhingan's decision to step out of his comfort zone and join the club. "His presence will help us achieve the goals we have set for this season," Rosas said.
