Šibenik recently announced plans for a new stadium, set to be built on the site of Stadium Šubićevac. This €50 million project will enable the club to return to the top tier of Croatian football. The new stadium will have a capacity of 8,000 seats, with all stands covered. Construction will take five years, and funding will be provided by the club and the Municipality of Šibenik, along with EU development funds. The project was presented by club owner Željko Karajica, architect Angela Vlaić, Šibenik mayor Željko Burić, and politician Hrvoje Zekanović. Karajica emphasized that the stadium will be one of the most modern in Croatia and will meet all requirements for hosting international matches. Mayor Burić highlighted the importance of cooperation between the club and the city in realizing this project. Zekanović added that investing in HNK Šibenik is the best example of sports investment in Croatia and expressed hope for continued support from the city and administration.
